A Romantic Family Vacation Portrait in Italy

This Portuguese family vacation portrait in Italy had everything that we love the most: traveling; discovering amazing new places, enjoying the landscape, feeling the surroundings with all its history and savoring a different and delicious cuisine! Basically, we just had loads of fun with this family! They were constantly making jokes and laughing at themselves, with their lovely 2 months-old baby. And the most important thing of all, we were able to capture such a beautiful celebration of love within this new and excited family! This result sure fulfills us as photographers.
Going from Portugal to Italy for a wedding, this sweet family made the most of it and took total advantage of the moment, making it simultaneous their family vacation portrait in Italy.
Here’s the itinerary we followed: the first part of it was on an unexpected stop close to Rocca Calascio, in the Abruzzo region. We stopped there to enjoy the impressive view and just couldn’t resist to take some couple photos there. After that, we continued to the enchanted Medieval Village of Santo Stefano di Sessanio for lunch, hopping the weather would clear a bit and luckily the sun smiled upon us! Swiftly we grabbed the opportunity for a baby photoshoot! Then, we made our way to the top of the mountain, to the one and only Rocca Calascio castle! A magnificent place we were all looking forward to knowing and where the movie Ladyhawke was filmed. We got there by sunset, it was super cold but nevertheless we had a blast taking photos of the joyous couple and enjoying the breath taken view. It is incredibly beautiful!
And what is there more to say?! It was an unforgettable experience for everyone, we will never forget this trip and we’re sure neither will this newly family! Baby Flora will always have these family photos to tell the story of such an incredibly journey in Italy. The photos show quite well how happy and in delighted they were with their sweet love baby girl. We’re sure she will cherish these memories forever.
