Lindy & Aaron Wedding in Marquês de Fronteira Palace

Destination Wedding Photography in Portugal

Without a shadow of a doubt, this was a dream wedding at Marquês de Fronteira Palace in Lisbon! This young american couple moved from Oregon to Lisbon because of their jobs and inevitably fell in love with the city. They decided to get married in Lisbon’s heart, Alfama, right in the middle of it’s most important religious festivities in the overwhelming São Miguel Church. That was an adventure, we must say! They got the full package: huge applause, hugs and kisses from total strangers, a lively New Orleans like Jazz band cortege and a Tuk-Tuk ride to the venue! It was awesome to see such euphoria and emotion! Sit back and enjoy Lindy and Aaron’s wedding that makes us dream and sign! From the preparations in charming apartments, the majestic Palace to the dance floor surrounded by centenarian trees where everybody danced to proper rock n’roll until very late. It was amazing! We should confess that this wedding was a challenge because the couple didn’t have a Wedding Planner contracted and for them everything was so easy and accessible. That would be true if we weren’t in June and in the middle of the oldest part of town where the most important traditions happen in times of festivities. We Portuguese know how chaotic can be. I can only give you the Mardi Gras festivities in New Orleans, imagine having your wedding in the middle of the procession 😉 Lindy and Aaron were living in Portugal for a few months already. We had to exchange a few emails because we were concerned about the timings and we were seeing too little time. Happily they understood and we could all adapt the schedule for a possible one with no possible fails. And everyone was happy! <3
